As many of you know, I joined PHAME because I believe deeply in the power of creativity and community. Every day, I get to see PHAME students grow as artists, build meaningful connections, and share their voices with the world.

This June, I’m participating in PHAME-a-thon to help raise funds for programs that support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in creating, learning, performing, and building community through the arts. PHAME is a joyful, welcoming place where people are celebrated for exactly who they are, and I feel incredibly lucky to be part of it. This is personal to me as well. As a someone who grew up in an area without a lot of funding, it was my theatre, music, and visual arts teacher who encourged me along the way. They saw me for who I was and still believed in me. Doesn't everyone deserve that? That is exactly what our students experience at PHAME.
