As many of you know, I joined PHAME because I believe deeply that art is for everyone. Every day, I get to see PHAME students create community, grow as artists, and share so much with the city of Portland (and beyond). 

This June, I’m participating in PHAME-a-thon to help raise funds for programs that support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in creating, learning, performing, and building community through the arts. This is personal to me as well, as a long-time resource parent in Portland, I have had the opportunity to get to know many adults who would benefit a lot from the classes offered at PHAME. I feel very fortunate to be part of a community where everybody is welcomed, supported, and encouraged. Everybody deserves the opportunity to have the arts in their lives.
